Look, Kids. Big Ben. Parliament.

In his Monday Morning Quarterback column at http://www.si.com, the great sports journalist Peter King mentions three books he read on his recent European vacation. 1. Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs, 2. Robert Caro’s The Years of Lyndon Johnson, and 3. Hitless Wonder.

About Hitless Wonder, King says: “A perfect title. Imagine driving three hours to play a gig in front of five people at a dive bar in Detroit. Oestreich’s band, Watershed, did it all the time. It’s a very good look at a strange life I’d never want to live, but if you’re passionate about music, I can see how you would.”

To which, I say: Peter King has excellent taste in books, but I’d expect nothing less from an O.U. Bobcat.
